Hello! This blog is created to document my baking journey :)
I am not meticulous, detailed, neat or patient. Basically, I do not possess any quality that makes me seem like someone who will enjoy baking or can bake well.
BUT! Who cares?
One of the greatest motivation for me to start baking is the fact that I will be starting a full time job soon in August. This is the start of approximately 50 years in the working world, and the thought of having to work for practically the rest of my life scares me. I feel that it is very important to have a side hobby to maintain my "sanity", and since I am unfortunately one of the most boring people ever, I have decided to pick up baking! Not only will I get to pick up a skill, I will be able to make delicious food for my family and hopefully in the long run, we won't have to spend $6-$7 for an average slice of cake at Starbucks anymore ;)
After months of persuading my parents about the benefits of having an oven, they finally gave in and we purchased a Rowenta oven at the Courts Mega Raya Sale! Even after the discount, $649 for the oven is quite an investment, for me. But I believe that this investment will serve as a strong motivation for me to bake constantly. And I will document every step of the way in this secret little blog :)
